What Is the EZ Lick Water Bottle?

The Vapur EZ Lick water bottle is a one-handed hydration option for active dog owners. Instead of juggling multiple heavy water bottles, leashes, toys, and gadgets, the EZ Lick water bottle offers some relief so you can provide your dog with a drink.

Here’s how it works: every time your dog is thirsty, remove the cap and let your dog lick the ball on the end. Your dog’s tongue will inevitably lift the ball up slightly, allowing a small stream of water to trickle onto your dog’s tongue.

This is a great option for environmentally conscious pet owners who don’t want to waste money on plastic water bottles (and let’s be honest, dog park water fountains don’t always work). Started in 2009, Vapur is a water bottle company specializing in eco-friendly products. They take “Leave No Trace” to the next level by offering the “anti-bottle.” All of their products must be:

Pricing is very upfront with Vapur. Just select the product, add it to your cart, and you’ll receive your shipment in a few days. You can’t order a single water bottle, though. The EZ Lick is a two-package deal. But I’d say it’s worth the price.

Portable and Easy to Store

The most notable characteristic of the EZ Lick is how portable it is. The EZ Lick folds and tucks away beautifully into your pack or purse after your dog drinks all the water. You could easily hide it in a fanny pack or tuck it into your backpack without sacrificing room.

Color Variety

Hiking and camping gear can look pretty dull, but Vapur water bottles break the habit by offering multiple colors in their products. With the EZ Lick, you can find one in either dark blue, light blue, white, or Malibu teal.

Easy to Use

There’s no need to pour water into a bowl with the EZ Licker. Your dog simply licks the ball, and water trickles onto your dog’s tongue. The cap is also easy to remove for quick access. You could even do this with one hand if needed, which is very likely when you’re out on the trails.

Too Heavy for the Cap

The biggest setback for the EZ Lick is the threaded base on the cap. The water bottle is supposed to attach to your backpack or purse if needed. Unfortunately, the water bottle detaches from the cap once you start moving if there is water inside.

Luckily, no water spills out when this happens, but you could lose an entire water bottle if you didn’t know any better. It’s hard to trust the water bottle to stay attached while you’re moving, and for that reason, it might not be for everyone. Still, there were no other issues that I experienced!
