Vapur is Looking for a Freelance Graphic Designer!

October 12, 2010Freelance Senior Designer Job Description Vapur is a rapidly growing, privately held, company based in Westlake Village, CA, and the creator of the Vapur(R) Anti-Bottle(TM), a reusable water bottle designed to “fold-and-go” anywhere. We are seeking a Freelance Senior Designer with exceptional conceptualizing and design skills to work on-site with our Chief Design Officer to develop a range of new packaging and promotional assets. As part of a new and growing Design Team, you will work on a wide range of product, packaging, communications and web initiatives around our core product -the Anti-Bottle, as well as a range of exciting new products that are soon to be released! What you’ll be doing... 1. Creating inspired graphic designs, packaging, illustrations, communications and/or web graphics that articulate the Vapur design ethos across every brand experience 2. Collaborating with Chief Design Officer and cross-functional teams on design and development to ensure feasibility of designs and product release dates are met. 3. Overseeing production to ensure design/quality standards and timelines are achieved. 4. Formalizing brand styleguide to hone the Vapur aesthetic and tone across all media. 5. Building awareness of current trends, technology, materials, lifestyle-related products and artist-inspired brands through experience and research in the markets in which Vapur does business. What you’ll need... 1. BA or MFA in graphic design, illustration or related 2. Killer design and typography skills with an obsessive eye for the little details that “make” a design 3. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign (HTML, Flash, After Effects experience a plus!) 4. Ability to think visually, sketch ideas and create working prototypes quickly 5.
