Vapur Launches Design Competition for Special-Edition Anti-Bottle

VAPUR® a foldable, flexible, reusable eco-friendly water bottle known as the "Anti-Bottle” is teaming up with Dwell magazine and Opportunity Green to sponsor the Vapur Thirst For Design Design Competition. The contest, facilitated by competition organizer jovoto, will give emerging artists the chance to design a new graphic for the first in a string of special-edition Anti-Bottles in Vapur's new "Artist Series." Vapur bottles, which can be rolled, folded or flattened when empty, will create a unique canvas for the winning design, which will be printed directly onto the front and back surfaces of each bottle. Vapurs flexible yet durable body uses less plastic than a traditional rigid bottle and takes a smaller amount of energy to produce and transport. The anti-bottle is dishwasher safe, long-lasting and BPA-free. "Vapur was born out of innovation, design and the opportunity to create a simple solution to make carrying tap water more convenient and fashionable than bottled," said Jason Carignan, chief design officer and co-founder of Vapur. "This contest represents our appreciation and support for emerging artists and designers, offering them an interesting platform to take their work to the next level." The Anti-Bottle is innovation and distinction in both form and function. Encouraging a "drink out loud" philosophy, Vapur charges artists to bring that philosophy to their canvas, demonstrating bold and imaginative designs that will appeal to an international audience of influencers and eco-minded trendsetters. Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges known for their creativity and commitment to the environment, including Lara Deam of Dwell Media, Karen Solomon of Opportunity Green, Laurenz Schaffer of BMW Design, Jonathan Greenblatt of Ethos Water and GOOD magazine, Matthew Lloyd of Method Home and HDTV Design Star Antonio Ballatore. As many as five design ideas per person can be submitted through the same website, and may be accompanied by sketches, other images, audio or video files. Designers will be competing within the jovoto community for cash prizes, as well as being judged by the highly regarded panel of judges who will select the designs to be licensed and printed on Vapur™s new Artist Series bottles.
