Changing the World One Anti-Bottle at a Time with RandomKid
April 30, 2012Posted in News & Events10 year old, Ariana Flores is using the Vapur and RandomKid "Anti-Bottle Project" to help make a difference in her community and the world. Read her story below. I am Ariana Flores and I am the Philadelphia Kids Ambassador for the Kids Dash for the Cure taking place in Philadelphia Pennsylvania on Mother’s Day 2012. This role will help honor the life of the grandmother I never met because she lost her battle with breast cancer 58 years ago. I recently hosted an event that was both outstanding and a huge success. I raised $480 and met a 26 year old breast cancer survivor with two young boys. So many people came to the South Philly location as well as the Northeast Chuck E Cheese on April 5, 2012. My team/family raffled off many prizes one of which was Vapur Anti-Bottles. We also gave away goodie bags to all of the children that attended this event as our way of saying thank you for helping to raise funds while having fun to fight breast cancer. Although I am just 10 years old I live in a health conscious family because everyone has to eat different things because of allergies/illnesses. We also care about our environment and understand that how we treat the environment plays a big part in illness and disease. That is why we want to help with the Anti-Bottle Project. I was thankful to raise awareness at my fundraiser and I now want to take it a step further by joining www.randomkid.org. This is the best website I’ve ever been on. Many random kids go out into our environment, our economy, our world and solve problems of today. I like this website because it is an inspiration for young kids all packed up into a URL that tells us to help our future.
