October 25, 2013IN WITH THE CHILL AND OUT WITH THE GROSS – Students at Newbury Park High School have a fellow student to thank for two new fixtures that offer chilled, filtered water. Senior Kathryn Reinke said she was inspired to bring the water stations to her school because the old fountains on the 47-year-old campus were "gross" and dirty and the water that came out of them was warm. "No one really wanted to use them, but people need to hydrate and stay healthy," said Reinke, 17. Her father, Brent Reinke, co-founded Vapur, a company that makes and sells flexible, reusable water bottles. Vapur also offers stainless-steel hydration stations where people refill water bottles.
